As of Monday 01st January 2010 the Standard 15% VAT rate is being  increased  by 2.5 % taking it back up to the original 17.5%.

With this in mind, the information contained in this email is designed to help you through applying the correct changes to the software applications you use.

Please do NOT make the changes until your Current Invoice Cycle has been completed, as the changes are only to apply to invoices generated on or after 1st January.

If you are still unsure about making the changes please refer to your Accountant or the HMRC website
Please see below for the sections relevant to the software you use.

Please note that NO changes need to be made to individual records as the system will filter the changes through the database. i.e a client currently set to 15% will be amended to 17.5%.  Any record set to anything other than Standard Rate will NOT be affected.

Area's that will be affected.

The area's which will be impacted by the VAT change are as follows:-

  • Customers linking from AzTech Integrity
  • Back Office Temps & enterpriSe

What Needs to be done in Integrity

AzTech Integrity - Before the export > Admin > Back Office Functions > Setup > VAT Codes - Highlight VAT Codeid 2 Standard 15% change the Description to Standard 17.5%, then change the box labelled Value from 15 to 17.5 then click on the button named Replace

Integrity Vacancy - Important

Any current Vacancies in the system will not be affected by the change of the VAT code it should only affect new Vacancies.  However if you open an existing Vacancy and modify the fees, the system will Re-calculate the values based on the new VAT rate 17.5 %.

What Needs to be done in enterpriSe

Open enterpriSe and go to Administration > System > Tables.  From the tree view down the left hand side of the page click on VAT > Rate.  In here you need to select the VAT line which is Standard  or STD  usually Code 2 and change the amount in the Value field from 15 to 17.5  and change the Description to read Standard 17.5  %Click Save.

If you link from AzTech Integrity to enterpriSe you must ensure that you are changing the correct VAT Rate Line.  The Link Code in enterpriSe must match the VatCodeid in AzTech Integrity - See first screen capture.
